My esteemed teammate is correct, 08 long course nationals will be held at Mt. Hood CC in Gresham, Oregon, just east of Portland (the sunny side). Its a new pool just completed. We will use it for the first time next month for the State Games of Oregon and I am looking forward to it. The weather in August can be hot but very beautiful.
Portland is one of my favourite cities; it has terrific public transit, great public art and meeting places, excellent restaurants and Oregon Pinot Noir rocks.
And a nice place to swim.
And no sales tax.

Gresham is a great starting point for exploring the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood, as well.
I'll be there! I have been looking forward to this for almost 2 years. I moved to VA from Portland 2 years ago so I get to go "home". I haven't decided what I'm swimming yet, though. 400, 800 free, 400 IM, 200 *** are a given. But the rest are up in the air.
