I am going to Taiwan to teach English and I will be there from June 27-July 27. I will be spending most of my time in XinZhu (Shi-Chu) and I would love to find a pool or a masters team to work out with. This area is also close to Taoyuan. If anyone knows anything about pools or swim teams in Taiwan, I would really like to know.

Hi Mausy, I live in Taiwan as well but I live in the south: in Kaohsiung. I too have recently started swimming again and am also looking to get into Master's competition. I do know they do occur because once I met some masters swimmers at a pool I used to swim at and they told me they were going to compete. This was about two years ago and at that stage I hadn't started training properly so I never went. Since then I have changed pools and haven't met up with them again. Admittedly I haven't really asked around much but as soon as I find out I will let you know. By the way have you checked out the Teaching English and Living in Taiwan website tealit.com ? It would be worth your while if that is what you are planning on doing.
