Kate Ziegler BROKE the world record in the womens 1500 15:42.54

  • I'll repeat part of what I said in another Kate-related thread: I seriously doubt she was broken down. She went 11 seconds slower at worlds, when she was supposedly tapered. The mile will be offered for women at nationals this summer, but I would imagine training for the mile will help her 800 next year. I hope someone got video of this and is putting it on YouTube. Next to Phelps' 200 free at worlds, this might be the performance of the year. Wonder how Janet's taking the news.
