Don't do this at the pool!

Ack! After my practice today, I clumsily dropped my monofin right on top of my toes. The blade left sizeable cuts on two toes, one almost requiring stitches. I bled all over the pool deck as I limped to the office for gauze and tape. The lifeguards were amazed: "How did you do that? What is that thing? (Answer: It's a monofin; I'm a masters swimmer.) What is a masters swimmer?" Not sure about my scheduled run for tomorrow am ... :shakeshead: Kind of a weird swimming "injury." I have bad MF carrying technique. (Ande: I did plenty of shooters without the MF too!)

Just another reason why fins have no place around a swimming pool. Just kidding with you, I hope it heals quickly!

Ouch! You should make up a better story though.
  • Did you damage the Monofin? ;) neosporin up and get yourself healed up good soon!
  • you are wearing it on your feet though, right? You do recall that it is also a weapon, right? :duel: I smashed my poor big toe at the track an hour ago. :frustrated: I am such a clutz. I probably shoulda got it stitched. :violin:

I've also managed to do the same while running. So far, though, I haven't tripped while sitting still, but I'm working on that as my next event. :fish2:

  • After a mishap like that, I think I'd go home and do shooters to help deaden the pain.:wine: I think I'm going to get a piece of rubber tubing and split it so it will fit over the fin edge so I don't have a similiar accident. I am very clumsy and always dropping things. Ack! After my practice today, I clumsily dropped my monofin right on top of my toes.
