My preferred stroke is the backstroke. However I seem to have a problem: I cannot seem to do a decent underwater back dolphin off the wall. Can anybodu suggest some drills or ideas?

...I cannot seem to do a decent underwater back dolphin off the wall. Can anybodu suggest some drills or ideas? my Dolphin Kicks improved a lot when i started doing kick sets on my back (along the surface, without a kickboard, arms in front, body Streamlined), which pretty well imitates what is shown in the vids Ande put up. i also noticed in the vids that when the backstrokers came off the wall with SDK's their heads were very still, not undulating (as in fly). this motion is very easy to mimic with this kick drill/set, and you can breathe anytime you want, which makes it easier to concentrate on your technique. i just kept working at it until i found a rhythm and style that suited me. hth. i've heard lots of folks tout the benefits of practicing SDK's on your side underwater, which is easy to do coming off the wall. there has been at least one other thread on this subject, so searching the archives on SDK or "streamlined dolphin kick" may get some good results.
