I've been on a swim team for a month and have been to three swim meets and have come in third place in all of my events. I need help with improving my time and speed. Also, I need help with the flipturn. I also have started training for nationals next year. I run 3 miles a day and train in the gym and I go to a physical therapists as I have had to have 2 neck surgers in the past 3 yrs. I'm loving swimming and, I get so excied when it comes time to compete. If any of yall have advice or training advice for me I would appreciate it. I do have a coach I work with 4 times a week.

My clubs pool has been closed for the past week due to the pool being struck by lightning and in need of repairs for leaks. I hope to be back in the pool by monday, I have a big masters swim meet coming up June 8 and 9th. I have been running since I can't swim until monday when the pool reopens. I'm going to be at a hotel tonight and am gonna swim at the pool at the hotel. I'm up to training 5 days a week with my coach. I will only get in 2 days next week due to being out of town the rest of next week. Any advice as to what exercises I can do until monday?
Sincerely, Swimminggirl
I practiced all weekend long at an olympic size pool. My 50 free has gotten down to 25sec. flat.

No disrespect intended, but...
If you did 25 sec in an Olympic size swimming pool during practice, you are ready for Olympic trials.
does anyone else notice that swimminggirl's posts almost always include elements of other threads?
like the lightining strike comment, hotel pool workouts, crosstraining, supplements/steroids and of course her new thread about being engaged, which showed up not too long after the "shelf life" thread...
not to mention the fact that the times listed never quite seem to jive, as Dorothyrde said??
somebody pulling our collective leg here?
and, swimminggirl, if you really are swimminggirl (and not another poster in disguise), i profusely apologize!
