2007 Masters Nationals

As I re-enter my "real life" back in PA, after competing in my first masters nationals, I am struck by the fact that I feel the same way as I did twenty years ago as an age-grouper after coming back from a big away meet... lots of people asking me how I did & congratulating me, but no one really "understanding" - no one really knowing what it is like to spend a long weekend with cool people who take part in a cool sport. I am so glad to be back in the water... I attended the Mariners game on Friday night & had the pleasure of meeting "PoolRaat" & "imspoiled" (imspoiled also being my neighbor from about 10 minutes away here in suburban Philly) and many other great people. The meet was a blast in general. I'm hoping I can convince a crew of my teammates to come next year to the party in Austin. Hope everyone's "re-entry" is going smoothly & that you take time to feel good about your meet. best to everyone, Alexis
