Masters w/ Chiari?

Hi everyone, My question is this... are there any fellow Masters swimmers that have a Chiari Malformation? Since it hurts me to run and do most any type of vertical motion, I've gone back to regular swimming. As in competitive swimming. Usually, practice is just find. Sometimes, I have found it difficult to say swim a few lengths of freestyle and immediately flip over to backstroke. It is very disorienting and I get an immediate wave of nausea. Although, other days it does not bother me too much. I also have to hold my head in the position of looking straight down which is good. I never do flip turns in practice but will in a race - such as the 100 free. I tried the 200 IM in Zones yesterday and although I finished (which shouldn't have even been a question), it wasn't near what it should have been. Today, I was pretty dizzy so I didn't even swim the 3 races I entered - unfortunately - although, I was trying to overcome mind over body to do them... I have looked a bit into being classified as a swimmer with a disability but I swim fairly well, so I think they would just laugh at my request and frankly, I didn't see a category that fits. Yet, it still is there and prevents me from doing the training that I would like to do - both in duration and quantity and sometimes strokes (like fly and back). For me, who has always been in the water, being diagnosed with this a year ago has definitely capsized my boat. So, I just wondered if there is anyone else out there who swims with it? Thanks. Have a great day! :agree:
