I wanted to take a moment to not only welcome a wonderful lady I knew from Pacific Masters back in the mid 1990s, but a fierce competitor with tremendous talent and drive. Laura may not remember me, but of course I remember her in that I was 3 or 4 years older than she and I always dreaded when she aged up (LOL). The only time I could win any of the backstroke events was when she didn't swim them.
Laura, welcome to the forum and I certainly hope you will post as regularly as you have time for. I used to swim for San Mateo Masters Marlins when you were swimming for Los Altos. I now live in the Caribbean and have missed seeing all of the pacific northwest swimmers. Congratulations on all of your lifelong swim achievements.
