  • The doping accusation involves: Sports Medicine Politics Popular culture Ethics The role of journalism LogicThe USMS Forums seems pretty occupied with #1 and #4 in my humble opinion, and there's nothing wrong with that. I wish Ian Thorpe a good life after swimming, and that he will make himself useful somehow. :2cents: I see you're having fun crashing our US forum in a big way, which is fine. If you read past threads on doping and/or cheating involving swimmers, armstrong or the phelps ordeal, you will find that ALL of the above topics are discussed with perhaps the exception of politics. Under the current guidelines and rules, we are not supposed to discuss politics on this forum, although we nonetheless do from time to time. We actually welcome swimming related comments or even NSR comments. For example, I'm going to take a lot of drugs today, peruse People magazine and eat oranges because I have a bad cold. Peter is probably worried I will be rampaging around like an ogre again.
  • L'Equipe isn't a trash tabloid. the spinners in the US press & some sports federations have spun the paper to look realy bad to protect US atheletes. You mean, like Lance Armstrong, who has never tested positive? You'd think after a decade of trying, they might give up or resort to unethical standards to attempt to prove something that doesn't exists. Oh wait, they did that already.
