I just read that the men's 200 MR was DQd at Worlds. That race could've given Phelps a record 8th gold medal... bummer.
Phelps was very gracious about it. He said, "We came in here as a team, we exit as a team."
Sigh.
PS Did you see the size of his HANDS! I would like to swim just one race with hands his size, and feet the size of Thorpe's. (Yep, I have puny little paws!)
My last post on this subject. I mentioned Crocker, almost on an aside to Leslie, as having a "slight" chubby look in his face. This I perceived from pictures on the internet, and from a couple of TV viewings. I didn't ever imply he has excess weight or that it has anything to do with the false start. I was joking! This is a masters forum. Many times, not so much at the national level, but at community levels, or club levels, you will see former fast swimmers who have put on weight and are still fast. Most fitness swimmers and swimmers over 40 are always dealing with weight problems. It is not Crocker's problem. He is chubby as Charles Barkley is chubby, just an impression. Sorry again if I made the false statement Crocker is overweight or that he had some weight problems in his false start. This happens on internet message boards, forums, you can't type in a smile or a joking statement. Whatever, billy fanstone

You could go back to your first post and edit the subject to "Part-time masters coach wanted in Sarnia, Ontario" ;)
I have found that the best way to get people to stop reading and posting is to write love poems to each other in threads.
That meaty enough fer ya?
I was going to tell Karen to just get you on the thread...discord and closure are guaranteed after that.
You want onions with your steak? :thhbbb:
