Um, talk about rocking the swimming community. It seems that Ian Thorpe tested positive way back in May of 2006: From Timed Finals: www.timedfinals.com/.../ From CNN: edition.cnn.com/.../ From SF Chronicle: sfgate.com/.../article.cgi

I find it unfortunate that the media is in such a hurry to get this out that they don't even notice that the story contradicts itself, he (according to the French paper - the same one that went after Lance Armstrong) tested with abnormal levels of natural hormones not banned substances. Correct me if I'm wrong but there were several such test results at the start of the last winter Olympics and the majority if not all were determined to be natural variations. For all I know it will turn out he was doping but I am not a fan of the media reporting that such and such was posted on a web site as a news story. I'll wait for the press conference.

I am going to wait to jump on this bandwagon just yet.
