Men's 800 Free Relay

Now by the time most of you read this the finals will be over but ... Keller had the slowest split, OBVIOUSLY Phelps (& I'm guessing Lochte) are a done deal ... Vanderkaay put up a 1:46.67 leading off followed by Jayme Cramer's 1:47.97, David Walters 1:47.75 & Keller's 1:48.60 ... Do you take a total rookie? Slightly more experience with Cramer, or a struggling but veteran Keller? Personally I say give the rookie a shot, who knows what he'll put up next year. My prediction: Phelps, Lochte, Vanderkaay, & Cramer I'd like to see ... Phelps, Lochte, Vanderkaay & Walters ...

Vis a vis Australian Men's swimming versus US Mens swimming, this is a golden opportunity to be gracious in victory and from all that I've seen, they are doing exactly that. Props for them. Just to add a little to your comments about the American team showing a lot of class in victory Peter, ....It also looks as if the Aussies have shown a lot of class as well. From what I have read, the Aussies in the crowd all applauded Phelps after he broke Ian Thorpes' 200 free record. So both countries (The U.S. and Australia) seem to be reacting to the swim meet with a high degree of class IMO.....Which is of course a great thing to see! Newmastersswimmer
