Now by the time most of you read this the finals will be over but ... Keller had the slowest split, OBVIOUSLY Phelps (& I'm guessing Lochte) are a done deal ... Vanderkaay put up a 1:46.67 leading off followed by Jayme Cramer's 1:47.97, David Walters 1:47.75 & Keller's 1:48.60 ...
Do you take a total rookie? Slightly more experience with Cramer, or a struggling but veteran Keller? Personally I say give the rookie a shot, who knows what he'll put up next year.
My prediction: Phelps, Lochte, Vanderkaay, & Cramer
I'd like to see ... Phelps, Lochte, Vanderkaay & Walters ...

Yes, I want America to do well. But I don't think that when a US swimmer breaks a record that it should be thrown in the face of the other country whose swimmer(s) had the previous record.
When someone makes a comment like "we have 12, they have 3 now" that's exactly what is happening, throwing it in the face of the other countries. Swimming fans should be above stuff like that...applaud the US effort or whatever country did the swim but don't become rude about it.
Indeed. The day will come when the US will be the one losing it's seat as the swimming superpower. We should have the courtesy to treat others as we would like to be treated sometime in the future.
This has so many parallels, not the least of which deals with the US being the global superpower. Yikes.
