yep...another maiden voyage for me at Zones. Yet there is the turn to navigate. I have rolled and flipped before so I'm not psyched out by it...just need the workings from the back stars here. Simplified..for me: I can say, "take 6" after the flags, hold the arm, roll over... here is the confusion: Can I pull that lead arm back? (or only into the flip) Can I kick? Or is it just gliding once I roll onto the front. Stupid me should have paid more attention at NEM.

  • You take/finish the stroke on your belly. If you turn over and your right arm is up you can take that stroke. Technically, the turn needs to be continuous so if you are far out pull VERY SLOWLY and kick like crazy. One meet I totally misjudged the turn on my 200IM and I was on top on the wall practically when I turned so I got into the tightest ball possible and scrunched up and fliped ... I could see the official laughing at me when I pushed off. IF you flip onto your stomach YOU MUST flip turn.
