To whom do we report a ROBBERY, Canadians?

I posted this on the very inactive Canadian Masters Swimming Site and I'm still MAD:frustrated: static.atlanticmasters.org/.../icon_minipost.gifPosted: Mon Mar 26, 2007 7:06 pm Post subject: To whom do we report a ROBBERY? static.atlanticmasters.org/.../icon_quote.gif static.atlanticmasters.org/.../icon_edit.gif static.atlanticmasters.org/.../icon_delete.gif The CBC is robbing us (Canadian TaxPayers) blind. A whole team of anchors and reporters in Melbourne for the WORLD CHampionships. Today at 7:30pm they air their show. 30 minutes of time wasted on interviews, views of Melbourne and talk. They show the full women's 200 IM but only the last 50m of the men's 400m Free final and not even the last 25m of the women's 400m Free final, then some diving (which was last week. "Hello!") then some more swimming. This is absolutely ridiculous........ I am fuming.

Peter Cruise;84911 I am still watching it directly from the Aussie website (no problems, mate, the codes still work) wall-to-wall coverage. Hi The proxy worked for me the very 1st time, then (don't ask me how) the bigpond site, displayed in the URL the path and ISP's IP from which I was coming (TelecomOttawa) and gave me an e-slap on the wrist saying "Uh! Uh! Australia and New Zealand ONLY." Looks like your ISP takes so many hops to the region that your origin might be masked, 3Strokes- got to relax, I know in Ottawa it might appear like the CBC is important, but out here on the left coast we don't let such things raise our blood pressure. They're important only to themselves but when they're the only game in town............. Canada's Olympic Network, indeed! (Why are most of the smileys "happy" or inapplicable ones? This is the one on which I need variations..........:frustrated: ) It's their arrogant attitude that gets me: They're travelling First Class (or Business), on public money to "cover" a World Championship and they deem some events (like the 400m Free, M and W) not important enough or too long (and would take away from Karen Larsen's or Steve Armitage's time on screen), to air in their entirety. I still remember (and have it on tape) the Commonwealth games in Manchester where we saw more pubs, train stations, dirty rivers and Scott Whatzizname on screen than we saw actual swimming. Are my ventings (kind of) hijacking this thread. I know they might be more appropriate on the "rant and rave" one.
