Flip turn diagnosis needed

I've been working on flip turns. I've gotten to the point where I get over OK pretty much where I need to be. My problem is that when I push off on my back, I'm somehow angling myself downward, so that I'm looking up at the surface from about 5 feet away (a problem in 3.5 ft of water). I can't feel what it is I'm doing that's causing this. I do better when my approach and flip are slower than at speed. Can someone help me figure this out? Many thanks.

I totally agree with what has been said here. Start the turn a little further away from the wall so you aren't in a really tight ball, at the Cross or before, and make sure you place your feet lower on the wall before pushoff. It's just practice and lots of repetitions.... donna
