Just curious of what type of breaststroke most people here swim? Which one of these three : conventional (flat), wave, or undulating (i.e. the very flexible Amanda Beard) you guys found most efficient and comfortable to swim?
I found myself swim a combination of wave and undulating. Just wonder what you all think of these different types of breaststroke. :agree:

I really should have said narrow shoulders. "They" say you need to bring your shoulders up to your ears and shrug so you can enter the same space created by your arms.
Sorry I'm not explaining this very well.
I'll second Fort... great video, Allen! Thanks for posting. I thought you were a 200 swimmer? Maybe I am just losing my mind? You sure look like a sprinter in that video.
Your webmaster is doing a great job... fantastic site!
Thank you. The 100 is my favorite race, but I like the 50 better than the 200 and I like relays best of all. The first thing I thought when I saw the video was"I think I need to work more on keeping my head down." The people who run our website really do a great job.

Allen you looked pretty darn good to me. Head was low enough...but it could be camera angle...you're the best judge.
If I ever wear one, I will wear a green swimcap in your honour! :D
You can see if you think I swim a wave style by going to "oregonmasters.ning.com" and clicking on "world record relay"(yes I'm proud of that.)
Thanks for sharing that with us Allen. I agree with Rich that you looked pretty darn good in that video. Congrats on being part of a World Record breaking relay too!! I also couldn't help but notice that when I clicked on your name at the website to read your profile, ...that you listed as your favorite events "anything breastroke and fly is o.k. too".....There you have it folks. Its now official, ...Allen has admitted for all to see that butterfly is also an o.k. stroke LOL!

Hmmm...wavy, undulating? I think it falls 90% wave, 10% undulate. I think I am a little more curvy and get higher out of the water than most wave breaststrokers but I'm really quite clueless these days.
I really am dying to get a video of my breaststroke so I can pick it apart.
Thanks Ian. That meet was before my injury. My shoulder is a little better. I am OK'd for light swimming with my right arm,but no sprinting for at least a month:(

After my recent trip to New England Masters...I have decided my style is wave, but with water filled goggles...just to make the swim more interesting by having to guess where the wall is; e.g. Thud!
