Hey there everyone...
A a relatively new masters swimmer back in the water after a much needed 15 year hiatus from competitive swimming, I am planning on attending nationals in Federal Way. I couldn't resist picking up a "last-year's model" fastskin (good for a shameless .5 per 50, right?) for $60 from the Speedo website, but now I need to know how and when to use it!
I put it on dry, right, but then what do I do in between events? Stay in it? And the one I bought has full legs, but now I am thinking that it might not be appropriate for breaststroke... (I'm planning on ***/free/back & IM events.)
I would greatly appreciate any & everyone's two cents on this issue - I am sure there are others out there who'd like to know.
Thanks in advance & happy swimming!

Hi Alexis,
Yes, put the suit on dry.
I usually see people stay in their suit, but if you have a ton of time inbetween your events - I would just jump into a practice suit for the time being to warmup/warmdown in... just to extend the life of your fastskin. New fast suits have a temporary coating on them... the less you wear it the better.
You may not like the feel of the legsuit when you swim ***... many people say that they lose the feeling of the water on the kick... but I have seen breastrokers wear them - it's all a matter of personal preference.
If you have a state meet there in PA, you may want to try it then and see what events to wear it for at Nationals.
Take care,
Sarah
