With all of the "antics" of coaches in other collegiate sports that are much more demeaning (Think Bobbie Knight in mens basketball) how can this transgression lead to a firing?
Was he wrong? H&^% yes. Should he apologize and remedy the records? Absolutely. Should he get fined? Maybe.
But fired? NO.
We all make mistakes, and often publicly. We all need to be a little more forgiving, provided the perpetrator is willing to admit his/her error.
