I swim with a guy who swam for Stanford and Kinney in the early '90's. Can't wait to get his take on it...But I actually think that he had a good relationship with Kinney and still keeps in touch with him. There also is a Nashville swimmer who is currently a senior there and he has improved tremendously while at Stanford. He should be a finalist next week in the 200, 500 and 1650...Not that I'm defending Kinney's actions-I think that it's awful but obviously his methods work for some...As far as recruiting goes, well Stanford is Stanford and the name as well as the opportunity to go to one of the best if not the best school in the nation will speak for itself...
