  • Kirk, I was at the Michigan HS State Championship meet today and everyone was talking about Ava Ohlgren's great time in the 400 IM at the NCAA's which is now the 3rd fastest time in SCY history. Considering that her best time last year was 4:16.82 that is phenomenal improvement. Last summer at Nationals she went 4:49.04 to Katie Hoff's 4:35.82 and the 4:04.08 compares to Hoff's 4:03.46 in SCY. Now that is quite an improvement. Look for Ava to make a run and be a force in Omaha in the 2008. Julia Smit went 4:04.02 at Pac 10's so Ava would be the 4th fastest performer not the third...
