  • Ava Ohlgren winning the 400 IM was a little bit of a surprise. The top three girls in the IM were all freshman. Maybe one of them can topple Summer Sanders' record that has stood since 1992 (4:02.28). Hopefully Skip Thompson comments since Ava hails from Northville, MI which is very close to where he lives. She's one heck of a swimmer! Julia Smit swam a slightly faster time at Pac 10's. Once again Stanford seems to have peaked at Pac 10's...
