Front Quad/Patient Catch question

Not sure what the exact terminology is but I was swimming Front Crawl last night and for a bit I worked on patient catch. Is there a feeling of almost hitting a brief "superman" pose in the water. I didn't try to go faster but it felt that I was moving faster and stronger and this was on my last 1/4 mile.

Patient lead arm, catch-up stroke, overlap stroke..there are all kinds of names to describe this type of freestyle. I do this in most all of my warmups and cool downs. Gonna give it a try in a race someday? After looking at this stroke, this seems very well suited to distance, which I do, I am not sure if I could speed that one up or not (LOL), or if I'd want to.
