Front Quad/Patient Catch question

Not sure what the exact terminology is but I was swimming Front Crawl last night and for a bit I worked on patient catch. Is there a feeling of almost hitting a brief "superman" pose in the water. I didn't try to go faster but it felt that I was moving faster and stronger and this was on my last 1/4 mile.

That's what it felt like I was doing ( at least the timing with arms, the whole stroke may not be like that) although slightly slower...very comfortable. I felt very balanced in the water doing this technique. Bilateral breathing every 3 strokes. Head neutral, no tension, breathing seemed easier. Even incorporated some side balance drills into the warm down swim too. I do all my kick sets doing the side balance drills (kickboards kill my neck).
