Good job, Nancy!!
I am sick with a stomach bug so I missed my usual workout and I was not happy. I kept thinking "but no more miles" for today :( :( I'm looking forward to getting my cap and patch. Nancy, how does the short look? Maybe I'll have to get one of those one day, too.
Alison
Alison -- get the shirt. It is a simple design -- just like the logo on the site here, on a light grey shirt. Simple and nice, and it makes us a team:drink:
Sorry you have been ill. I know that feeling of not getting your day's worth of distance in. I so look forward to coming home in the evening and adding to my graph!! OK Ok --a little OCD here I know..
MARYSWEET. THANK you for your mention of me in your E- mail. And yes I am as of this date I am over 100 miles . Thank you a gain for this ,wonderful event. DOM IN AZ.:groovy: :woot: :drink:
Congratulations to all of the "Go the Distance" participants - there are now nearly 300 of you ! I'm jazzed to see the participation increasing - almost on a daily basis - and I'm very glad to hear from so many of you that you are having fun!
Mary, this is such a cool program! I have a question... I haven't joined yet, but would like to. Should I just wait until the end of March and submit my yardage? Do the yards I did in January and February not count, since I wasn't signed up for Go the Distance at that time? Or do I submit the Jan and Feb yards in some other way? (Ok, that was 3 questions.)
Thanks for any help and again, very cool program!

Hi Carrie -
Please join the fun and festivities as soon as you can! You can send me your mileage for January and February whenever you get a chance and it will count! Please let me know your age as of 12/31/07 and usms id too. Then at the end of March all you need to do is let me know how far you swam this month - easy eh?
I'm glad to hear you are interested ... the more folks we have participating the more encouraged and motivated we all become!
I hope to hear from you soon!
Mary
Hi Kimberlie,
I am definitely planning on joining the group! It's such a great idea. Just trying to figure out the logistics of it! :)
Glad you enjoyed the clinic... Chris loves to do stuff like that. We had a blast at Bloomington. You'll have to introduce yourself to me again at the next meet! :) We'll be (all 3 of us) at St. Charles North and at Fenwick in addition to State. Yep, Meggie will be at State, but only on Sunday. My sister and brother-in-law are watching her on Saturday. A whole day with no baby at a swim meet? Not hearing crying and "Mommmmaaaa" as I stand on the blocks? The ability to warm up and swim down whenever I want???? Oh my! WOOHOO!!!
Mary, you know any time you need anything I'm there for you my Oregon sister!
I'm looking forward to the postman coming today. Maybe I'll get a nice little package from Oregon :)
Nancy, I'm glad you like the logo.
Alison
We sure are going to miss you at the Oregon Association meet next month ... I'll wear my "Go the Distance" shirt so we can feel like you're there with us!

Our pal Alison knows the "Go the Distance" logo intimately .... she is the one who designed this very cool event logo for us to use! I hope she realizes how much we appreciate her efforts ... and we will wear the logo proudly!
Alison ... when you get your "50 Miles" cap, patch and certificate (it was mailed last week!) ... check out the border on the certificate - hope you like it.

Carrie, come join the group. We've been having a great time this year tracking our yardage (and for some mileage --wish it were me!) Have you looked at the graphs/sheets for this program, there great.
We met a few weeks ago in Bloomington/Normal. I was a few second behind you and two lanes to your left in the 50 ***. Was wanting to be right next to at the wall -- it was a fun meet and we really enjoyed Nadine & Chris in the clinic, learned a lot too. Your baby's adorable, will we see her at state?
