Swimming at a hotel pool?!

I will be away on business this weekend - and was wondering if any of you guys had ever done somewhat of a practice in a hotel pool. I may have some time to myself over the weekend - and I'd like to jump in the water. If you have done this... what kind of practice do you do? If this is a dumb idea... should I just go to the exercise room and forget about the pool? Thanks! Sarah

It's funny that you guys ask me where I'm going. I will be working at a swim meet ALL DAY LONG, both Sat and Sun (I'm "in" swimwear sales) - and I don't know if the pool will still be open after the kiddies are done competing. So, I'm just going to make the best out of it and swim where I can. I have to be at the pool at 6am and stay until late (both days), so visiting any local masters teams will not be an option. Good idea about the sculling... but I may get beat down by the noodlers. lieutenant sarah
