OK...Here comes a thread for all of you wannabe odds-makers.
Post your thoughts for establishing handicaps for personal challenge races.
Here are a couple of mine:
1. Age credit: basic idea.....the older of the two gets a handicap. (as in chaos vs. muppet) the handicap goes to yours truly.
2. Wetsuit penalty: self explanatory....I heard 10% is a good rule of thumb for this one.
3. Personal bests (within 2 years).....swimmers are handicapped based on their best recent performances. (this could make geek vs. gull II a real nail-biter)
Oh yeah I know Mollie.....she was dishing on me all during worlds last summer...and I'm ready bad knee or not!!

Well, I'm sure you deserved the dishing or dissing or whatever she was allegedly doing.
I know Rich's fly times. LOL. That's why I said "Right" real sarcastic like.
But since Pepe le Pew's age group has been so egregiously omitted, I'll take him on in a 50 fly. I think he's on record as saying that he doesn't butterfrog for a 50. I think Poolraat and I already have a 50 fly race on in that "Which poster do you want to race" thread.
I'm going to have to try out Jim Thornton's age handicap calculator so I can see how I'd fare against others ... Maybe I'd actually beat Mollie if given the proper age handicap. Oh, and the 3 kid handicap as well.
