Seeing as Nationals are fast approaching (eek!), I thought I'd post this now to give time for debate, planning, and change to make sure we can see some action. ;) Here's what I was thinking: There's a Red Robin (though there are plenty of other choices also) fairly close to the pool (by the mall...about 5 milesish..maybe). I would LOVE to meet everybody from these forums so I was thinking Friday or Saturday night we should have a little dinner and drinks soiree. The formally organized USMS social is Saturday night. So...that's my thought. Let's hash out some details and make it happen!! :drink: :groovy: :woot:

  • Fort you know you want to go!!! C'mon...everybody's doin' it. ;) Beth you should go too! I'm probably not going to make qual times in all my events, so we can be slow and out of shape together. :wiggle: Kyra: As far as I can tell, and now I am going to sound like Charlie Brown here, I have been somewhat sick, injured or out of shape for every meet I've ever swum in. Which isn't that many. I'm kind of used to it ... Taper? What's that? I just give my shoulder a rest for a week or catch a cold. No sleep? Who cares? Never do that much anyway ... I think I can do the 50 back in my sleep. That's my most reliable, non-shoulder-threatening, no brainer, hope I don't blow the turn, event. (Boy, I hope Paul Smith is not reading this or I will get a lecture.) BTW, I used to live in Washington (sister born in Tacoma) before I moved to a colder place (where jaegermeister lives) and then to another cold place (where Kaizen used to like to swim) and then to another cold place (where FlyQueen lives). So I know it's there. ;) Kristilynn: I'm not used to jetting all about the country swooping up the distance free medals like you. I just started my 50 back masters career. Does anyone know how Washington is for allergies? All I know is I almost died in CA in August with that dreadful weird plant life they have there ... What do they do, import that stuff for the sole reason of sabotaging those from the east coast? Muppet: What airline are you taking? If you're doing one of those nasty distance free events on Thursday night and you need a counter, I'm happy to oblige. (If I go and if I get a reservation.)
