I was just curious to what other swimmers think about getting in the hot tub for a couple minutes before practice. I swim everyday but Sundays are my really easy days. I did some hard workouts this week so I was pretty tired today when I went to swim. Before getting in the water I decided to hop in the jacuzzi for a few minutes, which I've never done before practice. I only did 2,000 but I felt really relaxed and in control of my stroke. I was easily taking 12 strokes per 25 (scy) instead of 13-14 which I normally take. I've never heard anything good or bad about so that's why I'm asking.

When I hurt my back a few weeks ago, I would go in the hot tub first for just like 5minutes maximum, and then get out stretch for a few minutes then get in and do my workout. Then afterwards, I would get in the hot tub again for a few minutes and stretch again. That was really good, and I felt very loose both in the pool and after practice...I am excited for my season to be over so I can swim at the YMCA everyday and have that option when I am tight or sore.
