Yo, Captain Britain!
Are you a translocated Brit, or do you still live in--
This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,--
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.
The reason I ask is that I am hoping to bring my family to the precious stone set in the silver sea next summer, and was hoping someone could pick us up at the airport.
Actually, it would be nice to get some travel tips from an insider...
This is just Geek and his gang beating up some poor noodler.
Jim:
You get to go to England? Lucky you!
Been many times in my youth, and went to school there for awhile. I'm sure SwimStud can give you all the late great tips. Go the Lake District. I also love southwest England. Go cathedral hopping (along with pub hopping). York in the north is beautiful. Some great castles in nearby Wales.
