I hope someday I will have a swimming team:( We will have some stories:blah: Then I will have a nick name :agree: Somedaaay, somehooow, somewheeere !!!!!!!
  • but they would say "Well hello MISS SCAAAALET!" ;) I love that one FAF Sista! Kristina: Yours were truly hysterical. Gave me a good laugh! I've been through many incarnations of nicknames. I started out as Crash because some mishaps in diving and gymnastics led me to swimming. Then (sorry baby sister), I became FlyQueen. That led to Queenie, Dairy Queen and DQ. As I got older, no one could pronounce my French maiden name and I was called French Fry at lot. When I was in my late teens and failed to grow, I was called Little Bullet or LB and then Dyno-mite or Mite. One summer, I was also called FH for free hater (sorry twin) because I cruised a lot of those mega distance free sets in protest and boredom. Don't really have a masters nickname. Except some teammates call me L'il Mermaid because of my fin use. Right now, I'm enjoying FAF Sista.

My swimming nickname was, it is now extrodinarly unfitting, was Speed King. My age group coach back in the day heard a funny story what is was I really do not remember but at some point in the story was the line "Are you reasy speed king?" He asked me that before every event and from then on it stuck. Only my swimming friends used that one. Now a fitting nick name now for me would be anchor, as in sink like one. Got Boost
  • One of my teammates gave me the nickname "the Alpha Female", because of my competitive nature in and out of practice.
  • I get called Cara or *cringe* K-eye-ra (phonetically) a lot...but I wouldn't call it a nickname. I guess my name is just to hard to say...... Um, uh oh, that's how I've been pronouncing it (Keye-ra). How do you say your name? Kee-ra?
  • I've never really had a true nickname ... it's very sad, I feel like there is a big void in my life ... :( :( Two of my best buds on my team tried to make my nickname mosquito because they said I'm little and buzz around annoyingly ... they claim they were kidding ... :shakeshead: One coach tried to make H2 work, which I'm a fan of but that hasn't stuck either ... so I'm just Heather to everyone ... In preschool I was mighty mite ...
  • ...unless Some_Girl has an idea...she's seen me swim. Yeah. I'm gonna call you the Race Ruiner. Or perhaps the Distractor.

Kee-ra...rhymes with Shee-ra. LOL Kyra would be K-eye-ra with my British pronounciation. Kiera would be Keera. K-eye-ra is easier to make Rhymes with!.
