Whining - Comparing Aches and Pains

I propose a thread honoring old age in which each person lists their current physical ailments and general excuses that prevent them from beating people like Paul Smith and Rich Saeger. I will lead with a growing list of my own. 1. Shoulder pain 2. Heart palpatations 3. High cholesterol 4. Left hip stress fracture 5. Lower back pain (from shoveling snow!) 6. Wife and 3 kids. Perhaps we can give an award to the winner and the biggest whiner at the end of this thread. John Smith

Thank-you for all your love and support for my daughter! You are the best. :smooch: These type cysts can actually have skin, hair and teeth in them! Wild stuff. My husband was teasing her and asked her if she was missing a block of time...he says she was abducted by aliens and her cyst is her alien baby! (You know how we are in the South) ;) We're trying to keep her laughing and light-hearted. Comedy is the best medecine!:p Poolrat, I hope both your daughters continue to heal - especially your daughter getting ready to go through chemo. Please feel free to "whine" anytime you need to. Yeah Beth.. you have to laugh as much as you can right? It will be OK. Rich
  • I'm going back to whining now. TheGoodSmith would be proud. I'm so sick of doing rotator cuff exercises I could barf.
  • The Goodsmith from now on shall be refered to as either "Charlie Brown" or as "Glum"........never before have I meet someone so capable of finding something to whine about! :dunno: Fort......the only whine you and your "buddy" Jeff are allowed right now is about getting that wine glass topped off! :drink:
  • The Goodsmith from now on shall be refered to as either "Charlie Brown" or as "Glum"........never before have I meet someone so capable of finding something to whine about! :dunno: Fort......the only whine you and your "buddy" Jeff are allowed right now is about getting that wine glass topped off! :drink: Sounds like someone needs their pinot noir or they will be Glum ... Isn't one multiple personality on the forum enough? Can't you even have the decency to whine about your knee? Or did you deviate from the Ande diet and dull the whine with some wine last night?
  • No I did not! Your a cruel woman....wait.....are you another Geek persona?
  • I'm so sick of doing rotator cuff exercises I could barf. Quit doing them. Then quit swimming and become a distance (blech) runner again.;) :groovy:
  • No I did not! Your a cruel woman....wait.....are you another Geek persona? I am not a cruel woman .... I am sometimes an Ogre and bad poet. LOL. I cannot be a Geek persona. I like to run. That pisses off Gull too. Far too NSR. Maybe I'm really more like TheGoodSmith? No, that can't be. I heard he's friends with Geek IRL. I bet he's drinking that pinot though. Kimberlie:     Besides, Allen has a shoulder problem and he's a fab breaststroker. I hope you're getting a little better Allen! I don't want you to be sentenced to kicking forever.

Yep, I've quit whining about both of these aweful shoulders and have accepted that for the rest of this season it is breastroke all the way. No need to be punished with mostly kicking workouts; last night, about 1900 yds of awesome, fast breastroke; 100's, 75's, 50's and even 25's....kick, glide, stroke, again! Not racking up much yardage for "go the distance" but hopefully enough to make my minimum goal for the year -- 100 miles of breastroke. Lookin to next year to get the shoulders back accepting freestyle as a way of swimming!
