Whining - Comparing Aches and Pains

I propose a thread honoring old age in which each person lists their current physical ailments and general excuses that prevent them from beating people like Paul Smith and Rich Saeger. I will lead with a growing list of my own. 1. Shoulder pain 2. Heart palpatations 3. High cholesterol 4. Left hip stress fracture 5. Lower back pain (from shoveling snow!) 6. Wife and 3 kids. Perhaps we can give an award to the winner and the biggest whiner at the end of this thread. John Smith

  • Could be worse... She could be causing you to be called "Grandma." :help: Besides, you're starting your taper for nationals this week, remember? Muppet: My teenager is a boy with a "girlfriend" who seems to have become a social butterfly... The rude one is only 12, going on 16. If I am a "grandma" before any of my kids are a whole, whole, lot older, I will be an ogre. The word itself gives me hives. Besides, I'm way too young. I have a 6 year old too, you know! I'm not tapering yet either. I'm still in the recovery phase. Unlike you hard training no kid youngins', I've never really had a good taper. I'm going to commence negotiations with the hubby over nationals though. I'm tempted to go to celebrate SeaGurl's birthday and meet all the cool posters. We'll see. I may need to meet my twin to give her a big hug and hold hands to swim the 50 fly with her (assuming she ages up) to the still competitive 45-49 group. So actual physical condition be damned! (No different than last year.) :dedhorse:  Beth: Thanks for responding. It sound like good news. I'm so glad! And I'm glad she swam well despite the softball. Sounds like she's a figher like her mom! I hope all the continued news is good. Please keep us posted so I don't fret. She sound like she's doing great!!! I hope you are too! I hope you get some sleep!
