Whining - Comparing Aches and Pains

I propose a thread honoring old age in which each person lists their current physical ailments and general excuses that prevent them from beating people like Paul Smith and Rich Saeger. I will lead with a growing list of my own. 1. Shoulder pain 2. Heart palpatations 3. High cholesterol 4. Left hip stress fracture 5. Lower back pain (from shoveling snow!) 6. Wife and 3 kids. Perhaps we can give an award to the winner and the biggest whiner at the end of this thread. John Smith

  • SwimStud, Fortress and She Man, I just read your posts and they definitely made me smile. Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement. Kristina, your poem almost made me cry. You really made me feel very loved. :wiggle: I've been out of touch with the discussion board for a few days. It looks like I've missed a lot! Based on her CT scan, Kristy's (my 15 year old) cyst is most likely a teratoma. That's good news!!!- 98% are benign! I hope and pray that they are right. On the advice of her doctor, she has an appointment with a gynecological oncologist Monday. After talking to my surgeon friends and being reassured that she would be fine to compete, I reluctantly agreed to let her swim in her hs county meet today!! I'm so glad I did! She actually did her best times on the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly!!! She kind of stunk in the 100 *** - 3 seconds off. Considering the circumstances...having the equivalent of a softball inside her!....I was pretty darn proud of her!! I have to admit, I was a little scared she would hurt herself. She made finals in 3 events as a sophmore! I'm very proud. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for all the love and support. I love you man!
