swimming the amazon

I'm pretty convinced this guy is going to die or at least get eaten up pretty good. I read an article about it on Yahoo! and it mentioned that they were taking buckets of animal blood to draw off flesh eating fish and reptiles. But that to me, depending how they control it, could actually cause more of a frenzy than good. And it probably won't distract all of them from noticing a moving target going past. It also mentioned crocidiles, sharks (most likely Bullsharks, known for attacking people in merky water), other deadly animals(anacondas, jaguars, leopards). He's got a lot working against him on this. Not to mention that part of the river probably has ancient curses put on it by the tribes who used live there....and you have to worry about the tribes who still live there. I'm sure there are tribes that have never seen other people, and I'd be worried about them too. After all you invade their territory , they have a right to defend it. And I can't imagine seeing a boat for the first time, and one that's dumping animal blood, is going to give you a secure non-theartened feeling. It'll be interesting to see what happens with this swim.........
