Anyone had surgery to correct a deviated septum?

As many people know, this is my favorite topic. Today, I went to my ENT. I asked about deviated septums. there is no relation to them except the nose can get stffued up. Have you ever tried a course of prednisone? I have had polpyls removed 2 times from all four sinus cavatievties. I don't have many allergies but i do have asthma and aspirin iritation.
Anyway, somethimes the septum looks deviated when it it only irritated or swollen. I guess it is very important to make the distinction. the only way you can tell is through a MRI and seeing if drugs will keep the swelling dwon.
I have taken lots of drugs for most of my life. I don't understand peoles' hestation with taking drugs. My drugs used for allergies and nasal problems work at correcting problems with your body not stopping your body from acting naturally.
