Hey
So, I am kind of new on here, I've been here for a month or so, but I still feel new here, I do not know anyone, and no one knows me! I am sure there are other people on here who are newer as well, and would like to meet all you long time members:-D
So I propose we start a thread just introducing yourself and maybe saying a thing or two about yourself, where your from, what you swim, whatever information you would like to share with the group:wave:
Hopefully, this isn't a completely lame idea?
Hello all! I overcame my fear of the water when I was about 10 years old. Soon afterward I joined the local age group program and swam thru high school and college (small D2 school at the time but has since grown into D2 National powerhouse = Grand Valley State). After college I was dry for about 10 years. Then in 1999, as a result of corporate downsizing, started working out again and found Masters. I've transitioned from a seasonal (Jan-Apr) swimmer into a year-rounder and usually manage about 50,000 yds/month. I'm a Commercial Insurance Agent and help to maintain a household with my wife of 13 years, our 5 year old son, 2 indoor cats and an ever changing population (currently 8) of outdoor cats. We live on a dead end road out in the country so we end up with several drop-offs every year. In addition to swimming, I enjoy hunting, fishing and gardening.
