Hey
So, I am kind of new on here, I've been here for a month or so, but I still feel new here, I do not know anyone, and no one knows me! I am sure there are other people on here who are newer as well, and would like to meet all you long time members:-D
So I propose we start a thread just introducing yourself and maybe saying a thing or two about yourself, where your from, what you swim, whatever information you would like to share with the group:wave:
Hopefully, this isn't a completely lame idea?
First off, hi to Allen and Ann. Ann say hi to Sandi for me, please. I miss Oregon and you all!
Morgan, I grew up near Albany. I assume you got o SUNY Albany. That is a good pool. I had some really good swims there while growing up. I swam HS for Scotia-Glenville and USS for Schenectady Swim Club.
As for me, I am 36 and now live in northern Virginia. Moved here about 9 months ago from Oregon. I have been married for 11 years to John who works for the Fed govt (the reason for the move). We have 1 son, 21 month old Matthew. I swam growing up but quit when I hit 18 and took 11 years off. I started back in 2001. I swim with the local kids team twice a week (Occoquan or OCCS) and the masters team once a week. I also take spinning classes and chase after my active son. Oh, and in my spare time (ie nap time) I run a graphic design company but the business takes a huge back seat to my son right now. My sister, brother-in-law and dad all swim so we are all active in the water.
That's me in a nut shell.
Alison
