Conshohocken, Pennsylvania - Any masters swimming activity nearby?
Former Member
Hi all!
I will be in the US for business between jan 30 and feb 7. The Swedish Master Champ is in March and I would very much appreciate if I could join a Masters team that week for practice in the evenings and the weekend. All information of contacts and times is highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Pers,
Here is the practice information for the teams closest to me (given the practice times, about a 45 min drive from Conshohocken).
The Spring Valley Gators practice at the Spring Valley YMCA. This link takes you to their practice schedule and contact info. I've noticed recently that some of their practices have been rescheduled, so I'd contact Bambi before you make the drive.
To get there, take I-76 West (in the direction of King of Prussia). Follow the signs to I-422 West (in the direction of Pottstown). Take I-422 West to the Royersford exit. Turn right at the end of the ramp. Follow that road up a hill and turn at the 2nd light. The YMCA is the building with the A-frame atrium.

The Wave Masters practice at the Phoenixville Area YMCA. This link takes you to their practice schedule and contact info. Since I don't often swim at this pool, I would call first to confirm the practice schedule.
To get there, take I-76 West (in the direction of King of Prussia). Follow the signs to I-422 West (in the direction of Pottstown). Take I-422 West to the Phoenixville exit. Turn left at the end of the ramp on to Route 29 South. Follow 29 South down a large hill into downtown Phoenixville (not much, but it's our downtown!). Turn left on to Main Street. Follow Main Street through town (many 4-way stops and a couple of stoplights) until you reach Potthouse Road. Turn left. The YMCA is the first large building on your right.

I'd allow extra time to get to either of these places until you are sure of where you are going. Please feel free to PM me and I'll give you my cell phone number in case you get hopelessly turned around).
There are other master's teams in the greater Philadelphia area. If neither of the options I mentioned sound viable, let me know and I'll research a couple more for you.
Cheers - Barb
