Okay, I'm actually not kidding with this one. Latley, I have been starving ALL the time. My muscles have been really tired in workout, too. I'm certainly not overtraining - I make it 5 days/week usually, sometimes a 6th on my own, and lately it's been 4 or 5. And we aren't cranking out the yards like crazy either.
I think either something is missing from my diet or I'm just not eating enough ... my guess is it's the former. Any thoughts? I eat a fair amount of protein. I constantly amaze people with just how much I do eat so I don't think it's that ...
In addition to thinking about what you are eating, you might also need to look at when you are eating. You mentioned that you ate your half a PowerBar on the train when you were already famished. Would it be possible to eat earlier -- before you reach the point of being so hungry that it's hard to feel satisfied until you're stuffed? I swim in the mornings, and I know that if I eat a banana or something small in the car on my way to work, I will need less food than if I wait until I get to my desk and have already started feeling hunger set in. It might not work for you, but timing your eating so that you eat before your blood sugar drops and you feel desperate might help.
Good luck!
It's first thing in the morning ... I wake-up and leave for the train in about 20 minutes, maybe 30 ... I cannot get out of bed any earlier ... I'm wondering about the timing, too ...
As for scyfreestyler, I'm 26. I really don't think it's the training. Just a hunch. I've trained much harder for other things. It might be getting used to different workouts, we are increasing intensity a lot and doing less yards some weeks and others doing a lot of yards with out the intensity ...
THANKS EVERYONE for the advice and thoughts!
