Back in the pool

Well, it's that time. End of another year spent overweight and out of shape. I'm done with this body. Time to go back into the pool. This time I will stick with it. Gonna follow the "zero-to-1 mile in 6 weeks" plan and go from there. Hard to believe I was an "A" swimmer circa 1983. :D Wish me luck....

 I've been thinking about this thread and all of you who took on this challenge of swimming a mile. How has everyone been doing? Have you completed your mile goal? I have done my mile :groovy: and continue to be consistent at getting in a swim 3 times a week in February:applaud: ! Joining in on the "Go The Distance" challenge here on the board has kept me motivated to get in the pool. I remain much slower than most, but have been able to take off a few seconds here and there (I haven't actually timed anything and suppose that might be my next "goal"). Do any of you have other goals now that you have completed that mile? Is the mile remain your goal? Just checking in with you all;)
