Back in the pool

Well, it's that time. End of another year spent overweight and out of shape. I'm done with this body. Time to go back into the pool. This time I will stick with it. Gonna follow the "zero-to-1 mile in 6 weeks" plan and go from there. Hard to believe I was an "A" swimmer circa 1983. :D Wish me luck....

    I'm in the middle of week 4 right now (1x600,1x300,4x100,2x50). It's going well. I never suspected when I started that I would look forward to doing 4x100s, but after the 600/300 combo, taking a quick breather every 2 laps seems a luxury! I have to say that before I start each new Week, I think that I'm going to drown doing it, but I haven't. I've been ready to move to the next level. I cannot believe how far I've come. I truly believe that I can do this now. (I've already started thinking about my next goal, once I've accomplished this one. I'm thinking it might have to do with building speed....)
