Back in the pool

Well, it's that time. End of another year spent overweight and out of shape. I'm done with this body. Time to go back into the pool. This time I will stick with it. Gonna follow the "zero-to-1 mile in 6 weeks" plan and go from there. Hard to believe I was an "A" swimmer circa 1983. :D Wish me luck....

  • I also just started up again after 13 years off. Feels great. My main goal is to drop 40-50 lbs. and get back under 200. good thing is I can get to the pool 5-6 time per week for an hour. I used teh 0-1 mile as a guide and came up with this. 200 warmup 4x100 10-15 breaths 100 *** 4x75 7-10 breaths 100 *** 4x50 5 breaths 100 *** 200 cool down total 1600 this takes about 45-50 minutes for me to complete anyway nice to see so many are just starting.
