Back in the pool

Well, it's that time. End of another year spent overweight and out of shape. I'm done with this body. Time to go back into the pool. This time I will stick with it. Gonna follow the "zero-to-1 mile in 6 weeks" plan and go from there. Hard to believe I was an "A" swimmer circa 1983. :D Wish me luck....

    I too am just getting back to consistent time in the pool, and find all these posts helpful in motivating me. It is good to hear that speed and competing is not necessarily the only goal!! Fitness and strength as well as health benefits are my main goals. and if I ever get better, I might consider other goals then. At this time I am looking for realitively easy workouts and am also in the midst of the 0 to 1 mile plan. Most of the workouts I have seen here so far are waaayyyy out of my ability range! Nancy
