Well, it's that time. End of another year spent overweight and out of shape. I'm done with this body. Time to go back into the pool. This time I will stick with it. Gonna follow the "zero-to-1 mile in 6 weeks" plan and go from there. Hard to believe I was an "A" swimmer circa 1983. :D

Hey there, Slimy.
I'm on week 4 of the 0 to a mile plan.
I started back swimming this November after about 20 years out of the water. I had dropped about 20 lbs prior to some surgery this fall and knew I had to get moving to keep the process going. I had to start out with shorter distances (like 300 yds) since I was so out of shape. When I swam the 900 yds this week, I felt absolutely elated that I could do it.
