Anyone else watch The Biggest Loser?

I watched it some last season, but only caught the finale of this season that aired last night. Unbelievable! At least a couple people on the show lost over 50% of their original weight. The winner, Erik, went from over 400 pounds to under 195. Look at these before and after photos: www.nbc.com/.../erik_before1.jpg www.nbc.com/.../erik_finale10.jpg Hard to even believe this is the same guy!

I did a quick google search and in 2002 there were 3842 deaths due to drowning in the USA. And according to the CDC drowning is the seventh leading cause of unintentional injury deaths for all ages and the second leading cause of all injury deaths in children aged 1--14 years. Maybe we should ban pools as well. maybe we should teach swimming in grade schools. many swimming programs are being cut from the public school system. nyc has to close stretches of beach in the summer due to lack of lifeguards. trans fats are only popular because they are cheap...they don't make anything taste better.
