I thought I'd start a new thread and see what gives.
This is about funny moments when swimming practice or in a race. I have one that comes to mind.
I was swimming a 400 IM (years ago), and was starting the breaststroke leg of it. Right after I made my first turn and surfaced, there was a gal swimming breastrstroke in my lane coming right for me. I thought I had somehow changed lanes on the turn, so I went under the lane lines and got in the empty lane.
She had made the mistake, not me, but I ended up getting her time and she got mine. But it made no difference; they DQd both of us.
Moral of story: swim in your own lane at all times.

Donna,
I know that you wanted to keep this light but you actually only need to start and end the race in your assigned lane. You can leave and come back if you need to as long as you don't interfere with another swimmer.
