I personally love 50s on 1:30 all out ...

After a warm-up of 400-500 meters easy swim,
you might try an accelerated pace exercise like:
75X2 R:30sec. (fast)
50X3 R:30sec. (very fast)
25X6 R:30sec. (race pace)
(adjust the figures according to your conditioning)
and a cool-down of 300-400 meters
