FSII Kneeskins - It Ain't No Prom Dress

Okay, I got my first FSII kneeskin the mail. Aside from the sides being silver see-through, does anyone else (I guess this would apply more to females than males but I could be wrong) feel like He-Man's twin sister in this get up? I've enjoyed the FSII Recordbreaker (female swim suit) and this is my first knee skin. I didn't want the full body skin as I swim lots of IM and breaststroke. I don't expect to look great when I get up on the block. . . should I just look at it as I'll scare away all my competition. . . Talk about doing what it takes to swim fast. I think I'll NOT invite my husband to the meet. :frustrated:

Why's it creepy? There's a HeMan. Why not a SheMan? Teela just doesn't cut it. Uh oh - I already asked the admin to change it. We'll see. She-Ra, as recommended by my little bro, is just too fru-fru for me. I may as well be a Wonder Twin. :laugh2: How about a compromise? "Xena: Warrior-Butterflier" :joker:

How about a compromise? "Xena: Warrior-Butterflier" :joker: Well, I guess that She-Man could be offensive? HeMan's ugly twin with a similar outfit plus two pasties. . . or, party on the top and . . . well, I won't go there. I'll post my pic of me in my fastskin and then we could go from there. That's funny. I was Xena for 10 years at work. But it was Xena, Evil Director of HR. Or, aka Catbert. ;)

Your brother shouldn't be raggin on you. Look at his user name ... Fortress, I know! He's a software engineer, so that's stretching the bounds of his creativity. :joker: Just kidding Mike! You know I love you! And, we all know you are 1000 times smarter than your sis!

I was nicknamed She-Ra when I did gymnastics ... I love my fullbody suit (well the bodyskin - No arms) but I also have a severe lack of breaststroke in my life, and I for one am very happy about that. Beth and Kristina, I'm very sorry to hear about your teammate, how scary and sad. That is very difficult. I too did gymnastics! I stopped when I was afraid of breaking my neck on the tricks (and I was getting too tall). So, it was a nice transition over to swimming. It was good to find a sport where I didn't have to worry about seriously injuring myself. Did you find that your flexibility from gymnastics helped you in swimming? Thank you for thinking of Bob and our team. It's a small team in that everyone knows everyone and most swimmers are "regulars." In speaking with Bob's sister, I learned that he did have a previous heart attack and that 90% of his arteries were blocked. Not that this makes it any better. . . but it was amazing how fast he was even under those conditions. I will most miss his witty comments between sets.
  • This is quite weird. I was a gymnast long ago too. Flexible is great for fly until you become too "loosey goosey" like Beth and me. Heather, I'm feeling really tall now that I've read you're 5'2." I think I read someone else on this forum was a gymnast too. Was it Chlorini? How tall are you? I am super short for a sprinter, but that's what I am so oh well ... we actually have several short swimmers in IL that are crazy fast.
  • How tall are you? I am super short for a sprinter, but that's what I am so oh well ... we actually have several short swimmers in IL that are crazy fast. I'm 5'4", so I got 2 whole inches on you. There seem to be a lot of crazy fast IL people on this forum. In my age group over here, I don't know too many crazy fast short sprinters. My secret nemesis in free/fly/IM is 6'1" or so. The person whupping me in the 50 SCM back is about 6' too. SwimmieAvsFan is 5'11," but fortunately, she's two decades younger than me. Whatcha gonna do when you've got fast twitch muscles?
  • Beth: Now, if this is really true, you should be doing breaststroke and leave that 50 fly to me. Wow.....I never thought about that. Breatstroke sure would be easier on my aching shoulders!
  • Why the hell aren't you eating those tamales? You look FABULOUS!!!! :groovy: :woot:  :groovy: :woot:  :groovy: :woot: You definitely look taller than me. Younger too natch. You don't look too sick there, sista. What a smile! Look at what spending good money on fastskin prom dresses can do for a little sinus infection?! I may have to do some theraputic purchasing myself after seeing this inspirational picture. (Why isn't it posted on the inspiration thread too?!) Keep that avatar and I'm sure you'll get nominated for best avatar soon. You are giving Rich a serious run for his money in the hot looks department. You go girl!!
  • Thanks Fortress. I ate 4 tamales this evening. It's hard to not eat some when there are 90 in your fridge. So much for my snarl. . . I was laughing too much when my husband was taking pictures with me in the prom dress and faux - fur trimmed cloggs to match. :laugh2: You are truly too kind. He took quite a few pics (many unflattering) before finding a couple where the lighting was right. Beth should put her pic up on here - she is WAY more fit than me. I hope to look like her at my age and she's got a few years on me - numbers only and not spirit. Beth, I'm brining the digital camera to the meet - so get out that lip gloss! Oh my....you are so good for my ego. I do have a lot of spirit but I would not say I'm more fit than Kristina! She's da bomb! There is not an ounce of fat or giggle on that bod!
